Hardin County Fair Grounds Superintendent and Fairgrounds Caretaker Pete Fout announced that he is retiring after 6 years of service.

“We are so thankful for Pete’s service to our fairgrounds during his time here. He has a wealth of knowledge and skill that have kept our fairgrounds looking and functioning among the top in the state,” said Corey Ledley, Hardin County Fair Board President. “Additionally, his wife Deb has taken on the tall task of mowing our fairgrounds all summer, which we so appreciate. We want to wish Pete and Deb a very happy retirement.”

Fout will stay on through the 2021 fair to assist in training the new caretaker.

Resumes are now being accepted to fill the caretaker position.
