A Findlay man is facing charges following a short pursuit by officers from the Findlay Police Department early this morning.

According to a release, Findlay Police Officers observed a motorcycle being operated without any registration plates on 6th Street at South Main Street.

As the motorcycle crossed Main heading west on Lake Cascades Parkway, the operator of the motorcycle rapidly accelerated after seeing the patrol car.

Officers turned on their overhead emergency lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop, but the operator of the motorcycle failed to comply and continued west on Lake Cascades and eventually ended up on Lima Avenue.

The pursuit came to end when the operator, later identified as 21 year old Dylan Perillo, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed in the median.

Perillo suffered minor injuries but refused to be transported to the hospital. He was treated at the scene by Hanco EMS and Findlay Fire Department.

The total distance of the pursuit was less than 1 mile and lasted less than 2 minutes.

Perillo was issued a citation for Failure to Operate on Improved Portion of the Roadway, No Motorcycle Endorsement, and Failure to Comply with the Order of a Police Officer.
