A Findlay woman has been indicted in connection to the death of a Mt. Blanchard resident.

According to documents from the Hancock County Clerk of Courts Office, 29 year old Ashlie Velasquez was indicted on charges of voluntary manslaughter, a first degree felony and tampering with evidence, which is a third degree felony.

The indictment alleges that Velasquez caused the death of Boe N. Bushong when she acted while under the influence of sudden passion or in a fit of rage after being provoked by Bushong.

The Grand Jury also found that Velasquez possessed a firearm while committing the offense.

She is then accused of altering, destroying, concealing or removing the handgun for the purpose of hindering an investigation.

Velasquez is alleged to have shot Bushong on July 4 and was arrested on July 13.
