Students in University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) will be hosting a mini health fair on Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This mini health fair will take place in the University’s Davis Street Building Lobby A, on the east side of the building near the College of Education. This event is free and open to the public.

The goal of the mini health fair is to offer health screenings to those who aren’t able to visit a doctor’s office. Students will be offering blood sugar testing, blood pressure readings, cholesterol measuring, an immunization information table, and mental health screenings. Students will also explain to visitors how to live a healthy lifestyle on a budget and answer any questions anyone may have.

“The idea of the health fair is to use our knowledge to help our community. We learn all of this information in our classes here at UF, but rarely get a chance to use it until we graduate,” said Emma Pruzan, fifth-year student in UF’s Pharmacy Program. “We are licensed and certified to run tests and counsel patients. We want to make healthcare more accessible.”
