In remembrance of the victims of the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Governor Mike DeWine issued a flag lowering order directing that all U.S. and Ohio flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state.

The order is in accordance with the order issued by President Biden.

An 18-year-old high school student killed at least 19 children and two teachers during the tragic attack at Robb Elementary School on Tuesday.

The alleged gunman was also killed.

School districts across the U.S. are taking heightened security measures following the deadly mass shooting.
