A Forest man is facing several charges following a traffic stop over the weekend.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers stopped the car in the 600 block of South Detroit Street, and conducted a probable cause search since it had just left a known drug area.

Police say they found an uncapped syringe on the passenger side of the car, and the driver, identified as 57 year year old Steve A. Gault, allegedly tried to conceal a small plastic bag containing broken while pills under the rear spoiler of the vehicle.

The contents of the plastic bag is being sent to B.C.I. for testing.

Gault was cited for no operator’s license, no seat belt and expired registration.

Charges of tampering with evidence, possession of drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments have not yet been filed as the investigation continues.
