Residents in Forest are advised to continue conservatory use of the vacuum sewer system.

Mayor Dean Hankins stated this morning that there continues to be no change on the system, and that crews have not been called out in the past 24 hours.

They are continuing to hand trigger the neighborhood pits that have defective controllers, according to the Mayor.

Should residents experience noise, smells, or backup issues coming from their sewer, they should immediately call 419-429-9150, which is the after-hours service phone, and the “on-call” person will respond.

The problems started on Wednesday, January 27th, when the village began experiencing what at that time was believed to be minor issues with the Vacuum Sanitary Sewer System alarms.
