The Vacuum Sanitary Sewer System in Forest is now fully functioning.
Mayor Dean Hankins said that, “all defective neighborhood “pits” have been rebuilt or repaired and the main vacuum station is holding adequate vacuum.”
Residents no longer need to conserve sanitary sewer use.
Crews will continue to monitor the system and ask that if you experience noise, smells, or backup issues coming from your sewer, IMMEDIATELY CONTACT the “on-call” service person at 419-429-9150.
Mayor Hankins said, “if a problem can be detected earlier, we may be able to prevent extensive failure of the vacuum system.
