Former Hardin County Sheriff Passes Away
A man who held the position of Hardin County Sheriff for 20 years passed away this past Monday evening.
George F. Smith served the citizens of Hardin County from 1980 to 2000.
The current staff of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office called Smith a great leader and Sheriff.
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff’s office noted that the residents of this county always supported him and his office.
They also offered condolences to his family.
Details on a funeral service have not yet been released.
