Four Injured in Marion County Crash Thursday Afternoon

A three vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on State Route 309 in Marion County injured four people.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

38 year old J.R. Crabtree, of Galion, traveled left of center while driving east on 309.

The car was struck by a westbound semi being operated by 48 year old Omar Mummin, of Burlington, Vermont.

Crabtree and a passenger in his car, 30 year old Hayden Kinney, of Marion, were not wearing a seatbelt, and both were ejected from the vehicle.

Crabtree was transported to Riverside Hospital and Kinney was later transferred to Grant Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Mummin and a passenger in the semi were both taken to Marion General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Debris from the wreckage struck an eastbound vehicle on 309, but the driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
