This is a list of “FREE” help and/or services in our region.

To be on this list, your services/help must be free of charge with no purchase required.

We hope this will help community members in a time of need.

Council on Aging’s Meals on Wheels is continuing at this time.

-Free Food Services:

-Starting Monday, March 16 Jac and Do’s will be offering a free lunch to children in need that would otherwise have lunch at school. We will offer a free slice of pizza with a drink for school age kids on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This will be from 11-12.

-WKTN has a blessing box set up at 112 N. Detroit St in Kenton.

Helping Hands Outreach Ministries is having carry out only lunches for Children and will be delivering to on a daily rotation to Monday-Friday 11-1

-Sheldon Gas will be hosting lunch AGAIN for ANY Hardin Northern student, regardless of age or need!  Wednesday, March 18 and Friday, March 20th at the Dunkirk Library! Lunch will be from 11:30am – 1:00 pm

-Red Cross Blood Drive:

Please note the blood drive at Ada Visiting Nurses on March 23 has been combined with and will operate at the Kenton Moose Lodge.  Please call Mary Hackworth to sign up for an appointment, 419-604-8569.

-Utility Help:

Spectrum is offering 60 days of free internet for students who are currently not customers.

-AEP Ohio has temporarily waived disconnects for non-payment.

-Columbia Gas has temporarily suspended shutoffs for nonpayment in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

-Business Resources:

-Local businesses that are open for carry-out and delivery.

-Applications are being accepted for Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

 

WYANDOT COUNTY:

-AJ’s Heavenly Pizza will offer lunch to students in need. From Noon to 2pm Monday through Friday students can stop in for a slice of pizza and a bottle of water at no charge.

-COVD-19 Testing- Wyandot Memorial Hospital: The hospital was named the county’s temporary central assessment and testing location for COVID-19. Details of the testing will be provided on Tuesday [3-17-20].

HANCOCK COUNTY:
