Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that he made numerous appointments on Wednesday.

In our region, Scott Corbitt, of Plain City, was appointed to the Ohio Rail Development Commission.

The term began September 30 and will end October 20, 2025.

The ORDC is an independent commission within the Ohio Department of Transportation which represents the state in non-regulatory interactions with the railroad industry.

The commission funds safety improvements at railroad-highway grade crossings, supports rail-related economic development efforts, and coordinates railroad interactions with ODOT highway projects
