The two candidates in the Ohio Gubernatorial race squared off in their first debate Wednesday night at the University of Dayton.

Republican candidate Mike DeWine and Democrat Richard Cordray answered questions ranging from health care, gun control to the economy.

The candidates have met before on the campaign trail. In 2010, DeWine ran against and defeated incumbent Cordray in the Ohio Attorney General’s race.

The next debate is scheduled for October 1st.
