Hancock County Sheriff’s Office Offering Citizens Academy Class

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office will be offering its Citizens Sheriff’s Academy Class this fall.

 

The class will begin on Thursday September 5 and will be held for 10 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

 

Classes are held at the training facility on Lima Avenue, except the jail class, which is held at the office at 200 West Crawford Street.

 

Areas of instruction include firearms, jail, transport, School Resource Officers, road patrol with radar demonstration, detectives, K-9 units, as well as general information on the office and its duties.
