The Hardin County Community Foundation announced at the organization’s quarterly meeting this week that $227,000 in grants and scholarships will be offered this spring.
The funds are generated through earnings on the foundation’s assets.
The grants to non-profit organizations in the county support programs and projects in the fields of education, youth services, recreation, arts and culture, social services, and civic and community development.
The foundation will accept grant applications now through February 28.
Application forms are on the foundation’s website, hardinfoundation.org.
Grant applications will be reviewed by the Grants Committee, and groups and organizations awarded grants will be notified in late April.
Also at the meeting, it was reported that total assets of the foundation were at just over 14 million dollars through December. 31, 2024.
The foundation received $17,975 through its annual fund drive.
