A 20-year-old man who was sentenced to prison in December of 2024 was arraigned this week on a 27-count indictment returned by a Grand Jury last month.

Phillip Steele was previously indicted in May of 2024 on charges of receiving stolen property, felonious assault with a firearm specification and attempted tampering with evidence.

He was arrested in July last year and sentenced to a minimum of five and maximum of 6 years in prison this past December.

A Grand Jury indicted Steele last month on 12 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and multiple other counts including grand theft of a motor vehicle.

In Hardin County Common Pleas Court this week, Steele was appointed an attorney and pleaded not guilty to all the charges in the indictment.

A four-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on July 29.
