This week marks National Telecommunicators Appreciation Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the vital role of emergency dispatchers across the country.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating its dedicated team of professionals who serve as the first line of public safety for the community.
Hardin County’s Central Dispatch Center is staffed by nine full-time telecommunicators, one Communications Coordinator who also assists with dispatching, and two part-time telecommunicators.
At least two dispatchers are on duty at all times, managing both 9-1-1 emergencies and non-emergency calls.
These skilled professionals are essential in coordinating responses from law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed its gratitude, offering a heartfelt thank-you to all telecommunicators—and especially to their own staff—for their exceptional service and dedication to keeping the county safe.
