The Hardin County Freedom Fest Committee is looking for groups, families, scouts, 4H clubs, etc. who would like to participate in the 4th of July Parade.

The parade will be on July 4th with line up starting at 9 am and the parade starting at 10 am.  The staging area will be the Mary Lou Johnson Library.  The parade will start at the armory and turn left towards town on Main St., then turn left on Columbus Street ending at the Kenton Middle School.

If you have a group wanting to join the parade the Committee is asking people to register so they know what to expect. To register, you can go to the Hardin County Freedom Fest’s Facebook page at Hardin Freedom Fest, or contact Julie Zaring at 419-674-1358.

The Committee also announced this year’s parade honoree, Bob McBride. Bob and his late wife Bonnie served many years on the Freedom Celebration Committee.  They both worked very hard to make Hardin County’s Independence celebration a success.   The committee is so thankful for all their years of hard work and state “This is just one way we can honor them.” The committee has been working hard to provide events for the 4th of July.  You can follow Hardin Freedom Fest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep you up with all the latest news about the 4th of July celebrations.
