Hardin Hills Observing National Nursing Home Week
Yesterday was the kick-off of National Nursing Home Week.
Activities are planned all week for residents of Hardin Hills Health Center.
They include on Thursday, Sonja from the Mary Lou Johnson Library playing her saxophone, and the county commissioners serving cake and ice cream.
A shelter dog will be visiting, and music played from 10:30- 11:30 am.
President Kennedy proclaimed May as Senior Citizen’s Month in 1963, and President Carter changed it to Older Americans Month in 1980.
