The flag at the Hardin County Sheriff's Office remains at half staff.
Sheriff Keith Everhart posted on Facebook that the flag was originally lowered to show respect for the two fallen police officers of the Westerville Police Department.
Since then, two other law enforcement officers have been murdered around the country, including an officer killed outside Kansas City, Missouri this week.
Sheriff Everhart said he has decided to keep the flag at half staff until the country can go a full 30 days without an officer being killed at the hands of another. That time started on Wednesday.
