Heartbeat Executive Director Talks About National Slavery Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month

The month of January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month.

Julie Zaring, the Executive Director of Heartbeat of Hardin County, said, many think human trafficking is not that rampant here, but she noted it is more prevalent than you might think…..

“A lot of the cases you would see around here are family related, and studies show about a quarter to half of all sex trafficking now is family related, which is so sad.”
