Severe weather is expected across the state through this Sunday.

The National Weather Service says that means strong winds, heavy rain, and widespread flooding can be expected.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will occur into the weekend, with the heaviest rain expected Saturday into Saturday night.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday morning.

The Ohio Department of Transportation encourages motorists to make sure to stay alert on the roadway and watch for scattered debris, downed power lines, and high water.

Never drive through a barricade.

Be alert for high water on the roadways, and follow the advice to turn around, don’t drown as the water could be deeper than you think.

Follow your local weather for updates and stay prepared for possible flood warnings.
