An Ohio Hi-Point Career Center student has advanced to the BPA National Leadership Conference.


According to a release, Matthew Smith, a Multimedia Marketing student from Riverside High School, advanced after competing at the Ohio Conference last week.


Smith placed first in Prepared Speech with his presentation, which focused on addressing distractions to increase productivity.  


Kiarra Coats, from Benjamin Logan, also made the podium, placing third in Presentation Management.


Madison Aldo, from Bellefontaine, and Korwin Kurtz, from Upper Scioto Valley, placed in the top 10 in Digital Media Production and Graphic Design and Promotion, respectively.


Smith will compete at the National BPA Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas in May.
