A stolen car led to a high-speed chase and an injurious crash in downtown Van Buren yesterday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol clocked a Kia Sedona, later found to be stolen, in excess of 115 miles per hour traveling south on Interstate 75 around 3:17 p.m.

The car then exited at State Route 18 and went east before turning at County Road 220, where it was struck by a westbound Toyota RAV4 before continuing into a head-on collision with a Ford F-150. Drivers of all three vehicles were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for minor injuries.

Zachary Burnett of Lowell, Indiana, the driver of the Kia, has been incarcerated at the Wood County Justice Center on charges of fleeing, aggravated vehicular assault, and receiving stolen property.

Investigation continues in this incident.
