The Hardin Northern Junior Boys GRIT Service Project students spent the morning cleaning and prepping the village of Dunkirk fire hydrants.

That was done so the Art class can paint them with patriotic designs.

GRIT stands for Growing Rural Independence Together and is a collaborative approach to building a high demand workforce and stimulating economic growth through public and private partnerships.

The project supports young adults between the ages of 14 and 24 and adults who are unemployed or underemployed in getting the education and training needed to get living-wage jobs.
