Two members of the Hardin Northern Hall of Distinction passed away in December.
According to the school's Facebook page, Tom McNutt passed away on December 13 at the age of 84. He was a graduate of Dunkirk High School in 1951 and was known as the NBC 4 gardening expert for many years.
This past Friday, Lawrence E. Stager, who graduated from Hardin Northern in 1961, died at the age of 74 from injuries he suffered from a fall. He was a preeminent American archaeologist who unearthed evidence that ancient Israelites sinned by worshiping a “golden calf,” just as the Bible said.
The Hall of Distinction is designed to recognize graduates of Dola, Dunkirk, and Hardin Northern that have gone on to make significant contributions in their chosen field and communities.
