Indian Lake Hosting Yacht Racing Gold Cup Finals

Indian Lake is playing host to the International DN Yacht Racing Association Gold Cup finals this week.

WPKO Radio reported that the competition is being held on the north side of the lake.

The event attracts hundreds of competitors from across North America and Europe, including the countries of Canada, Germany, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Boats reach speeds of up to 60 miles an hour during the two mile lap.

The event started this past Sunday.
