Information on Three Crashes in Union County, Kenton and Hancock County on Thursday

A Richwood woman escaped injury in a crash that occurred early Thursday morning in Union County.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office report, 36 year old Brittany Duffy was driving east on State Route 47 when she fell asleep.

The vehicle went off the road where it struck a guard rail and came to rest in the front yard of a residence in the 22,000 block of 47.

Disabling damage occurred to the vehicle.

Duffy was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.

A crash involving a motorcycle hitting a dog was reported to the Kenton Police Department Thursday evening.

According to information on the police department’s daily log sheet, the accident occurred on Robinson Avenue at Glendale Street.

The motorcycle operator, Kevin Ransbottom, of Kenton, was arrested on a bench warrant from the Marion Police Department.

He was also cited for no motorcycle endorsement.

Also related to the accident, Daisy Schmelzer received a summons for dogs running at large.

A crash that occurred Thursday morning in Hancock County heavily damaged two vehicles.

According to the report from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle being operated by 50 year old Stephen Scott, of Pandora, was westbound on US 224 and attempting to make a right turn when it was struck from behind by a car being driven by 24 year old Logan Roebke, of Columbus Grove.

Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles, but there were no injuries.

Roebke was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.
