Investigation Ongoing in Stabbing Death of Lima Man
The victim of a stabbing last week in Lima has been identified.
According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of Edgewood Drive this past Friday March 15 for a male down in a yard.
Upon arrival deputies found the male with multiple stab wounds and was deceased.
On Monday, the victim was identified as 54-year-old Dion M. Florence, of Lima.
A suspect was arrested on Friday, and he was identified on Monday as 49-year-old Juan A. Green.
A spokesperson for the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office said Green was being held on suspicion of murder but was released. The charges are being held, pending an investigation, and will be presented to the grand jury at a later date.
This investigation is ongoing.
