Investigators Searching for Suspects Involved in Early Morning B&E at Kohl’s in Lima; $26,000 in Merchandise Recovered

Authorities in Allen County are investigating an incident that occurred at the Kohl’s store in Lima early this morning.

According to a release, deputies from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the store located at 2750 Elida Road at around 4:35 this morning in reference to glass breaking and motion detection inside the business.

When deputies arrived, they observed the broken glass in front of the business.

After the store was searched and cleared, employees were allowed in, and they discovered that jewelry, cologne and perfume were missing.

Detectives tracked footprints for approximately half-mile crossing over waterways and open fields when they eventually located a black bag believed to be used in the crime.

Inside the bag was merchandise with a value of $26,000 that was taken from the business.
