A judge has denied an early release request from the former superintendent of the Indian Lake School District.

The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge William T. Goslee denied the request made by Patrick O’Donnell earlier this month.

He pleaded on an Alford plea to one count of gross sexual imposition last year in connection to molesting a 13 year old girl over a two year period of time while he was superintendent of the school. Several rape charges against him were dropped as part of the plea agreement.

He was sentenced to 4 years and five months in prison, which means he has another 3 years and 3 months to serve.

O’Donnell was classified as a Tier II sex offender.
