The first ever Junior Fair Prince and Princess winners were announced on WKTN’s Morning Buzz show with Chad and Jenny this morning.
Fair volunteer Jolene Buchenroth said qualified youth in the community sold 50/50 tickets, and the winners were determined by who sold the most tickets.
She announced the winners starting with the prince, “Who sold a total of 625 tickets is Bowen Burnworth, and selling the most tickets overall is our princess. She sold 652 tickets, and this year’s princess will be Claire McCullough.”
Buchenroth stated that ticket sales exceeded their expectations, “6015 tickets were sold, and that brought in a grand total of $30, 075.”
That means the winner will collect a little over $15,000, and the drawing will be held on the first night of the Hardin County Fair.
