Kenton boys starts 2024 on right foot with 3-1 win over Allen East

Kenton started the 2024 season at home with Allen East and finished with a 3-1 victory.  Kenton got the scoring started early in the contest when Micah Bowman scored off a great pass from Hadiss Jumakhonov less than 5 minutes into the contest.  After a half hour delay the Cats returned to the pitch and found the back of the net two more times in the next 15 minutes.  Cam Jesionowski doubled the lead with a missle free kick from 45 yards that skipped from about 8 yards out and skidded into the back of the net.  Luis Gonzales scored a header on a corner kick from Chris Villa for the 3rd goal of the contest.  Allen East pulled one back with 4 minutes left in the half for the final tally of the contest.  Kenton outshot Allen East 8-2 in the contest With Ayson Scott recording a save in goal.  
Kenton JV fell to Liberty Benton in the JV contest.  Cats are back in action on Thursday when they host Ben Logan with a 5pm JV contest followed by the varsity.
