The City of Kenton is in the discussion phase of establishing a Port Authority for the city.

Law Director John Schwemer presented the initial draft of the Port Authority documents that were prepared by Shumaker Law in Toledo for council members to review.

The Law Director added in that letter that he believes the plan is to use Shumaker for the initial documents, but have the Bricker & Eckler Law Firm review, comment and assist.

Council President Joel Althauser said that Port Authority will be under old business for the meeting this evening, and if members have additional comments and or questions, they will be discussed at that time.

He added that unless Council requests something different, they will plan to have the Port Authority formation documents in front of Council for a first read at the meeting on December 12th.

The 22nd regular session of Kenton City Council will start at 7 this evening in the Kenton City Municipal Building
