The Kenton City Council reminds citizens of the 2019 Spring Clean-Up and its guidelines.
Kenton’s Spring Clean-Up will be held at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
Times for the clean-up go as following.
1st Ward April 22nd 8:30am-6:00pm
2nd Ward April 23rd 8:30am-6:00pm
3rd Ward April 24th 8:30am-6:00pm
4th Ward April 25th 8:30am-6:00pm
Accepted Items:
Appliances
Scrap Metal
Car Batteries
Wooden Furniture
T.V’s
Mattresses
Box Springs
Carpet
Wood, Paneling and, Siding: These items must be cut in three (3) foot sections and all nails removed.
We Will Not Accept Any Of The Following:
Tires
Toxic
Waste
Brush
Yard Clippings
Garbage
Liquid Waste
Fluorescent Light Bulbs
Earth
Sand
Brick
Stone
Plaster or any other substances accumulated as a result of building or remodeling.
Also, the United States Census Bureau reminds citizens of the upcoming 2020 census along with job opportunities that come along with it. To apply for the 2020 census you can apply online at 2020census.gov/jobs or call 1-800-JOB-2020. The Census Bureau offers great pay, flexible hours, weekly pay and, paid training. The United States Government encourages citizens to help out with the upcoming 2020 census.
The next meeting of the Kenton City Council will be April 8th at 7 o’clock in Council Chambers.
