The Kenton City Schools Board of Education took care of a light agenda at its February meeting Monday evening.
Board members heard a presentation from the Middle School Recycling Club and their teacher Tiffany Vehrs.
A resolution authorizing the district’s continued membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2025-2026 school year was passed.
In personnel items, a number of substitutes and transfers for the current school year were approved.
The written resignation of Toby Brown, Kenton High School Career Readiness Advisor and Freshman Class Advisor effective February 14 and the retirement resignation of Janice Kissling, Kenton Elementary School educational assistant, effective June 1, were approved.
She has been with the district for 27 years.
The next regular Board of Education meeting will be held March 17.
