Kenton Elementary School’s Joy Van Horn Named Ohio’s Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year

Kenton Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Joy Van Horn has been named Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.

Van Horn was nominated by a Physical Education colleague and was selected based on her continued education, coursework, and Professional Development focused on adapting physical education for students with high needs.

Van Horn will be formally recognized at an AHPERD Luncheon in December.
