Kenton Girls 8th Grade Volleyball falls to Riverdale High School 2-1

The Lady Wildcats travelled to Riverdale Saturday morning and lost in 3 sets 25-23, 13-25, 10-25.

Kenton was down early 1-7 and later 21-23 in the 1st set before Jude Sprang served the last 4 points for the win.  In sets 2 and 3, Kenton had difficulty breaking Riverdale’s servers as they had runs of 7 and 11 in a row.  Kenton did not quit, mounting a few mini runs of their own but could never overcome Riverdale’s serving success.

Aryanna Gradick had 3 assists and a kill. Sidney Payne had 2 kills and a strong service game of her own with 9 in a row in set 1.  Kylie Adams and Karyn Hopkins combined for a block.  Ady Osborn added a kill.

The Wildcats are on the road again Tuesday as they travel to Wapakoneta.  The 7th grade match begins at 5:30.
