The Kenton Wildcats traveled to Minster Tuesday for the NW District Division 2 Girls Sectional Bowling Tournament. This was rescheduled from last Thursday due to the icy conditions around the area. Kenton started off with a 759 1st individual games that put them in a tie for 4th place with Coldwater. A 2nd individual games of 675 kept them in 5th place. The Wildcats remained in 5th place after a 3rd individual games of 698, giving them a total of 2132, just 42 pins behind 4th place Coldwater going into the 6 bakers. Kenton rolled a 867 baker series (144 – 140 – 145 – 146 – 146 – 146) to total 2999 pins and place 5th out of 12 teams.
Jazalyn Worthington paced the Wildcats with a 522 series (173 – 162 – 187). Karyn Hopkins followed with a 442 series (180 – 156 – 106). Mackenzie Kugel rolled a 417 series (148 – 134 – 135) and Brayla Butler rolled a 392 series (156 – 102 – 134).
Jazalyn’s 522 series qualified her as an individual bowler for Friday’s District Tournament at Interstate Lanes in Rossford.
