Kenton High School Anatomy Class Tours Charles River Laboratories, Gaining Insight into Biomedical Research

The Kenton High School Anatomy class had an opportunity recently to tour Charles River Laboratories at the Spencerville location.

Charles River provides essential products and services to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, government agencies, and leading academic institutions around the globe accelerate their research and drug development efforts.

They have worked on over 80% of FDA-approved drugs in the past five years.

This experience gave the students a firsthand look at how science is applied in real-world medical and pharmaceutical advancements.

The students and teachers thanked Charles River Laboratories for welcoming them and providing such an insightful experience into the world of biomedical research.

Their anatomy teacher, Mr. Austin, also said that to top off the day, they made a stop at Kewpee’s for lunch before heading back home.
