Kenton High School Coed Varsity Wrestling finishes 8th place at Clyde High School.

Noah Eikenbary placed 1st at The Dale Coroll Invite in Clyde Ohio. Eikenbary was the 220 lbs top seed for the tournament. Noah went into the tournament with a 18-2 record and ranked 19th on Borofanohio.net Division II state rankings. Eikenbary did not disappoint he pinned all 4 opponents in the tournament. Eikenbary pinned Ashton Cassidy (Dixie)at the 1:06 mark in the 1st period, Joe Lubertozzi (Avon Lake) at the 1:19 mark in the 1st period. Entering the finals Eikenbary pinned Ben Seavers (2:28 in the 2nd period) and Andy Adams (with 3 seconds left in the 3rd period) both of Clyde to secure the 220 pound championship.

Mason Rhoades Kenton’s 132 pound wrestlers and number 4 seed beat Alley Springer of St.Marys with a 21-6 tech fall late in the second period. Rhoades pinned Jack McKinly at the 3:30 mark in the second period. Mason then won a tight 7-3 match against number two seed Tyson West of Clyde before dropping his next match 8-16 to Mike Moffia a 4th seed from Highland. Rhoades then bounced back with a regular decision win over Tyson West. Beating West 9-6 in their second meeting.

Ethan Manns also made the podium in the 170 pound weight class with a 4th place finish Manns a #4 seed picked up a regular 1-0 decision win over#5 seed Joey Scally of Highland and a hard earned a second period pin over Hunter Calrider of Lucas. Manns then dropped his next three matches landing himself in 4th place.

Carter Bays (152 lbs) started the tournament major decision 13-1 win over Jackson Lester of Avon Lake. Bay then dropped his next two matches before picking up a 12-3 major decision win over Parker Wiecartof St. Marys. Bays then dropped his final match to Ty Taggert earning Bays a 5th place finish.
