Kenton High School Girls Varsity Basketball beat Lima Central Catholic 52-46

Wildcats came alive in the 2nd half to overcome a double digit deficit to win their season opener over LCC 52-46. The Cats had a very balanced attack: Tatum Miller scored 15 points, Ali Harpel 11 points, Liv Nolting 10 points, Macee Heckathorn 10 points, and Sadie Larrabee 6 points. This was a great team win as all players contributed in big moments of the game whether it was a basket, great pass, big rebound, our great defense! Gabi Wetherill, Liv Nolting, and Kinze Sprang played great defense throughout. Sadie Larrabee, Macee Heckathorn, Tatum Miller, and Cailyn Hopkins had big rebounds when needed. Kyla Bostater, Liv Nolting, and Gabi Wetherill had some great passes in big moments. Ali Harpel hit a couple big shots in crucial points late in the game.  Overall it was a great TEAM win.

The JV team also began the season with a win as they defeated LCC 31-17. Emori Criner led the Cats with 8 points, Lilly Carmean had 6 points, Addy Haudenschield had 5 points, Jazlynn Long and Allyson Rinehart added 4 points each.

The Cats are in action again on Monday vs Ben Logan for the Cats home opener.
