A Kenton man was arrested following an incident at the Mary Lou Johnson Library Tuesday evening.
According to the report, officers were dispatched to the library in reference to an intoxicated male causing problems inside.
Upon arrival, officers identified the intoxicated male as 34 year old Garrett Bays, who was taken into custody and transported to the Kenton Police Department.
According to a second report, Bays was held for nearly three hours during which time officers say he could be heard kicking the cell door.
When he was released, it was found that the strike plate and frame on the door had been damaged from the repeated kicks.
Bays was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and criminal damaging.
