A Kenton Police Department officer was presented with an “Outstanding Service in the Line of Duty” plaque.

Officer Melvin Yoder is credited with saving the life of an unresponsive 7 month old baby on January 8, 2022.

His quick thinking to perform CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive saved the life of the child.

The certificate was presented to Officer Yoder by Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser.

It was signed by Musser, Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb and Kenton Safety Service Director Cindy Murray.
