Heading into the winter weather season, Kenton City School Superintendent Chad Thrush informed residents that they will be using remote/virtual learning after the 5th canceled day of school.

The district has had to cancel twice this fall due to heavy fog, so remote/virtual learning will be utilized after 3 more canceled days of school.

By holding these remote/learning days, it takes away the need to add school days to the end of the school year.

Each building will be emailing parents soon with the process they intend to follow if remote/virtual day(s) are needed.

Also, after consultation with administration, teachers, and parents, Kenton is canceling the 2 hour early release on January 14th.

They will have a regular day of school on that Friday.

Kenton will still have a 2 hour early release as scheduled Wednesday, January 26th.
