Kenton Top Twenty completed its competition season on a high note after competing at the virtual edition of the Sheridan Spotlight Show Choir Competitions on Saturday March 20.

The group won grand champion honors in the tier one division. This is the first time in it’s 53-year history the group has won an overall grand champion title. They are also taking home hardware for best choreography in tier one.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that the students have put in over the years to build this program to this caliber,” said Todd Daquino, Top Twenty Director. “We are looking forward to many continued competition successes in the coming years, as well as returning to a normal competition environment.”

Top Twenty recorded a performance earlier in the year to submit to the virtual contest which was judged Saturday in real time. The Kenton High School vocal music program will now shift its focus to the spring musical and Cabaret.
