The Kenton Wildcats won their 2019 home opener by crushing Bath 48-9 Friday at Robinson Field.
Kenton improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Western Buckeye League while Bath is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the league.
Blaine Huston threw for 396 yards and 5 touchdowns for Kenton. Jayden Cornell caught 8 passes for 188 yards and 3 TDS and also rushed for a score. Landon Rush had 8 catches for 131 yards and 1 TD while Jacob Eversole also caught a TD pass and Noah Eikenbary rushed for a touchdown.
Zach Heintz, who intercepted a pass, and Cornell were named the Ace Hardware Players of the Game.
Kenton travels to Celina Friday in WBL action.
