Kenton Wrestlers Battle but Come Up Short Against Defiance

Kenton High School wrestlers competed, but fell to the Defiance Bulldogs 33-42 at home on Thursday night.

Of the eight contested matches, three Wildcats came out on top. Carter Bays easily defeated Reece Frederick at 170 lbs with a pin in the first period at 1:42 after scoring three takedowns.

Brandon Bowling wrestled up a weight class at 220 and pulled off a quick pin in the second period at 2:21 over Ashton Rose.

At 138 lbs, Anthony Hunt defeated Beau Hesselschwardt by a 4-2 decision.

Josh Hart, Eli Kauble and Logan Brown all won by forfeit, but the Wildcats gave up forfeits themselves at 113 and 120 weight classes.

The Wildcats are taking the weekend off, and will be travelling to Wapakoneta next Thursday before competing in the Allen East duals next weekend.
