KHS JROTC Drill Team Competed at Invitational Drill Meet

The Kenton High School JROTC Drill Team competed at Trotwood-Madison High School in their invitational Drill Meet this past Saturday.

The Unarmed Squad commanded by Cadet Aiden MacKenzie placed second in his first time commanding.

Individual medals were won in Armed Knockout by Cadets JT Issac Oreglia, 1st Place; JT Brundage, 2nd Place; and Jesse Harrison, 10th Place. Other teams competing included Central Hardin HS (KY), Dayton Early College Academy (OH), Springfield HS (Holland/Toledo, OH), Grand Rapids Union HS (MI), Zanesville HS (OH), Meadowdale HS (Dayton, OH), and North Central HS (Indianapolis, IN).

Three of the four events we competed in were led by first time Commanders (Freshmen Ben Dilts and Sadie Larrabee, and Sophomore Aiden MacKenzie) Outstanding job by all cadets involved.

The competition is the last for this year and is geared towards building for the future.
