A woman was arrested after a theft was reported to Kenton Police Sunday evening.

According to the report, officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress.

The suspect, identified as Charity Rutter, 23 of Athens, Ohio, was arrested on active warrant out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

A runaway juvenile was located after a weekend traffic stop in Kenton.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers stopped a car on South Main Street and located the 16 year old male inside. He was returned to his mother.

Two other people in the car, 20 year old Hunter Schindler, of Findlay, and 19 year old Julian Weaver, of Radnor, Ohio, were charged with several offenses, including juvenile possession and consumption of tobacco  products, contributing to the delinquency of a child and possession of marijuana.

Schindler was also cited for expired plates.

A Kenton man is facing several drug charges after another traffic stop over the weekend.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers stopped the car in the 300 block of North Detroit Street for a turn signal violation.

A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle, and officers confiscated plastic bags of suspected methamphetamines, an unknown brown substance and several unknown pills.

The 34 year old Kenton man is facing charges of tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and possession of drugs.

The incident remains under investigation.
